Dr. Fred Jacobs started the event, followed by David Knowlton, one of the two chairs of Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease.
Jim Florio, former Governor of New Jersey, is the other chair of PFCD-NJ.
Dr. Richard Carmona, the 17th Surgeon General of the US, was the main speaker of the event, representing the national campaign to address chronic-but-preventable disease.
